To our valued Dollarama customers,

As communities across Canada proceed with a gradual restart of previously suspended activities, Dollarama remains committed to providing Canadians with affordable everyday products, and a safe and efficient in-store shopping experience.

Our COVID-19 operating procedures will stay in place for the foreseeable future and we continue to enhance them in order to keep everyone safe and to support our employees in this new reality. In fact, maintaining robust health and safety measures is now more crucial than ever as restrictions are eased and as Canadians venture outside of their homes with greater frequency. For the restart of our economy to be successful, we must each play a role and maintain the discipline we have shown over the last two months. While this is by no means a return to business as usual, and circumstances remain extremely challenging for so many, we believe this is a step in the right direction.

Once again, I commend the efforts and dedication of our nearly 20,000 employees who have adapted to this new reality. So much has been accomplished in so little time and I cannot emphasize enough how appreciative and proud I am of the teamwork that made it all happen. Our loyal customers have also cooperated with enthusiasm and I thank you for your patience and continued support. We are as committed as ever to providing our customers with a broad assortment of everyday products at compelling value.

DOLLARAMA IN-STORE HEALTH AND SAFETY COVID-19 MEASURES

The following measures are in place across the Dollarama store network in response to COVID-19, to keep our employees and customers safe while in our stores. Some of these measures might make your shopping trip a bit longer, and you may be lining up more often, but they are in place to ensure the safety of everyone. We thank you for your cooperation, patience and understanding.

• Strict protocols are in place to minimize risk to employees and customers in any proven or strongly probable case of a positive employee COVID-19 test.
• Strict cleaning and sanitization protocols are rigorously executed in all areas of the store, with a focus on frequently touched surfaces.
• Each store has a designated safety and sanitization coordinator to manage the flow of customers in and out of the store and to execute additional cleaning protocols.
• We have installed Canadian-made physical distancing markers in all key areas of the store.
• Canadian-made plexiglass safety shields have been installed at checkout counters in all our stores.
• All in-store aisles are now one-way aisles, as indicated by arrows, to help with physical distancing.
• Canadian-made plastic face shields and Canadian-made masks have been distributed to all employees and gloves have been made available to all employees who wish to wear them.
• Customers are encouraged to reserve the first hour of operations of each day for seniors and those with chronic health conditions.
• Customers are asked to use tap and pay with debit or credit cards, whenever possible.
• If you bring your own reusable bags, please bag your own purchases.
• We are limiting the number of customers in a store at one time. The limit is set at less than 20% of a store’s normal capacity to promote physical distancing.
• To ensure that as many households as possible can shop in a day, everyone would benefit by limiting one person per household per shopping trip.
• The equivalent safety measures are in place within our distribution centre and warehouses.

Dollarama continues to evaluate measures to be taken and the effectiveness of measures in place in an effort to improve and adapt to evolving public health directives and industry best practices.
